New: X-Realtime Cluster Engine for Windows 64-bit
The new Realtime Engine for Windows 7 64-bit leaves little to be desired. The ability to use a single processor as PLC system - completely decoupled from Windows - guides you into a new dimension. Especially the highly accurate jitter performance (<1μsec) allows controlling drives for SercosIII, EtherCAT and Profinet IRT. Each processor can be operated in a task-cluster as single shot or periodic mode with a frequency up to 200 KHz. All hardware resources (IO ports, and DMA MappedMemory) can be programmed easily - a private, global PCI Enumarator allows you to manage all PCI resources for real-time tasks. This leaves the user interface homogenous - you develop with VisualStudio both Windows applications, as well as realtime control. For programming convenience SYBERA has also set new standards, if an error occurs within a realtime task, boot or debug the single-processor simply separately, completely independent of the Windows OS.
New: SYBERA EtherCAT master controls drives of Beckhoff, LTi, Metronix, Kollmorgen and ELMO
The latest version of the SYBERA EtherCAT master controls the drives LTi, Metronix, Kollmorgen and ELMO synchronized with a sampling rate of 100 microseconds and an update period of 1 msec (variable). For drive control SYBERA implemented the procedure "Dynamic Jitter Compensation" with active and passive feedback. The Integrated Distributed Clock Management (DC) determines the time offset, static and dynamic drift and propagation delay. The EtherCAT master is available both, as programming library, as well as application (X-GO).
New: Real-time for Windows 7 64-bit
The increasing adoption of Windows 7 makes the topic of 64-bit current. SYBERA 2010 has already laid the foundations for the 64-bit real-time development of libraries and made appropriate development steps. With the 64-bit solution e.g. multiple processor cores for real-time tasks are available. Also, the jitter performance to date of approximately 10 microseconds (depending on hardware platform) to approximately 2μsec reduced. It offers the best conditions for the synchronization and control of drive controllers. The programming interface of the real-time libraries will remain at the 64-bit variant largely homogeneous. This important 64-bit development priorities:
bulletSolution to the problem of Windows PatchGuard
bulletSolving the reinforcement problem DriverSigningPolicy
bulletConnection of the subsystem to Windows 7
bulletAssembler design of SubSystems
bulletMulti-processor implementation for real-time tasks
bulletJitter reduction in real-time tasks
bulletReduction of synchronization mechanisms between the processor cores
bulletUniform programming interface to the real-time libraries

Since the kernel Systems 32-bit and 64-bit will differ significantly, the 64-bit variant is parallel to the existing 32-bit version will be offered. For further questions on this topic, we are happy to assist you.

Dynamic jitter compensation for EtherCAT and SERCOS III
For controlling drives SYBERA developed for EtherCAT and SERCOS III master library, the method "Dynamic Jitter Compensation" with active and passive feedback. Although the X-Realtime Engine runs with a small maximum jitter of approximately 15 microseconds (depending on hardware platform), an additive jitter results in systemic sampling operation. While ethernet for unsynchronized communication with Industrial components, this neglect in most cases. However, to realize the control and synchronization of drive controllers, the reduction of the additive jitter and drift of the dynamic libraries in the master was required. The result of the new compensation method is absolutely amazing - here is the comparison:
without compensation is the additive jitter of the X-Real Time Engine on 20 sampling rates (2 msec update cycle) about 200 microseconds, each with a dynamic drift of about 10 usec cycle with compensation amounts, the additive jitter of the X-Realtime Engine on 20 sampling rates (2 msec update cycle) about 15 microseconds, with a dynamic drift in the nanosecond range. Depending on the adaptation of the update cycle, this result can be further increased. SYBERA is able to demonstrate the new compensation method impressivly with the IndraDriveCS of BoschRexroth. The products X-GO logic control, EtherCAT master, and the SERCOS III master are currently equipped with the new procedures and available. Give us a try.
PC based SERCOS III Master
With the PC-based SERCOS III master Sybera extends the program of realtime library software. The SERCOS III master fullfils the requirements of the specification 1.1.2 and is realized like the other Sybera master libraries as an open programming system. In particular it was taken care on the critical cycle timing of the SERCOS III protocol management. Together with the PC based SERCOS III master and the X-Realtime engine there is no need of a separate SERCOS III controller hardware, because the master protocol handling is realized directly by a PC hardware with standard Ethernet adapter(s), and with Sampling rates under 100 usec. By the extension of the realtime ethernet transport layer (Ethernet Realtime Core) more than 70 standard ethernet adapters are supported.
Sybera Ethercat Master controls drives of LTi
The lastest Version of the Sybera EtherCAT master controls ServoOne drives of LTi synchronously by a sample rate of 100µsec and an update period of 1 msec (adjustable). The integrated distributed clock managment (DC) controls time offset, static and dynamic drift, as well as propagation delay. The new EtherCAT master is available as programming library, as well as control application (X-GO).
SHA Version 12
The new SHA realtime library was revised and provides now basic extensions: the software is now available also for DLL, C# and LabView projects. Additionally event based synchronisation methods for realtime projects have been implemented. Test the new SHA realtime library. The software is available for download.
SHA with Realtime Gigabit Ethernet
The 4.Generation of the X-Realtime Ethernet library not only supports 100MBit Ethernet controller (Realtek, Intel), also 1GBit controller are supported. Therefor the realtime library was revised and improved completely. All over  8 distributors (Intel, Realtek, D-Link, Accton, Asound, Compaq, Buffalo, Corega) with more than 70 device types are supported. With Gigabit-Ethernet are update cycles upto 15µsec realistic.
X-Realtime for Windows7 Released
SHA is now released for Windows 7 (32Bit), succeeding extended tests. The X-Realtime Engine shows no leaks, also at high CPU loads. The security mechanisms of Windows7 do not disturb the realtime behaviour.
EtherCAT library with EtherCAT Verifier
EtherCAT was never easier, than with the new realtime master library of SYBERA. Beside numerous extended functions for Distributed Clock, COE and State management, the library system also allows the operation of EtherCAT devices without XML file . With the integrated station management the devices become almost completely implicitly managed and controlled, or every single functional step (FMMU, SYNCMAN, PDO, STATE ...) may be controlled seperately. In addition SYBERA developed the comprehensive test software ECATVERIFY, which enables the developer to test EtherCAT devices without programming and to define the configuration. The developer is led herewith interactive through the single function groups and conditions. All information become extensionly displayed.
Logic-Program X-GO for Realtime Master Libraries
After long development period finally ready - the Logic Programm X-GO is available. The software X-GO allows the control of fieldbus devices (EtherCAT or ProfiNET) under realtime condition, without programming. All stations can be controlled logically with a simple text based script language. On this occasion, different commands are provided for evaluation of constants and station values, for Timer and conditional jumps. The new evaluation version of X-GO is now available for download.
